After over 20 years in the advertising technology industry—much of it focused on performance marketing and affiliate programs—I’ve encountered almost every option available for performance-based advertising.

There are networks tailored for info products, mobile apps, games, and even subscription-based content. Yet, I’ve never come across a network designed specifically for SaaS companies.

While some platforms combine conversion tracking with publisher networks, their focus tends to be on connecting SaaS companies with influencers or content creators.

But there’s a clearer, mutually beneficial opportunity: connecting SaaS companies with other SaaS companies.

At LEV3R, my vision is to help promising SaaS startups secure their first customers by promoting them through established, non-competing SaaS companies with loyal customer bases. These established companies are incentivized by earning a share of the MRR (monthly recurring revenue) from the customers they refer.

This creates a win-win-win dynamic:

  1. Startups gain paying customers.
  2. Established SaaS companies grow their MRR.
  3. Customers discover valuable tools that enhance their productivity.

The biggest challenge, I believe, will be convincing established SaaS companies to promote others. But here’s why I think it’s possible: large SaaS companies like Shopify and HubSpot already do this. Their app marketplaces are designed to enhance their utility, boost revenue, and strengthen their ecosystems.

While building a network faces the classic “chicken and egg” problem, our immediate focus is on attracting publishers to promote the advertisers in our network. I’m confident that as we grow, we’ll unlock the full potential of this vision.
