Hello World

Alright! One thing I've been thinking for a long time now is SaaS distribution.

I know there are many platforms out there for launching and distributing SaaS and internet products in general, but they target the same audience who build these products.

On the other hand, the general marketing companies, seem to focus on the three holy grails of consumers: health, sex and money.

So, there's a gap, I think, on how to promote SaaS products, to consumers, in a way they don't need to make an upfront investment, as many of these products are bootstrapped. With LEV3R I'll try fo fill that gap.

LEV3R will be bootstrapped, so I need to have perfect alignment for all parties involved, and this I think are the actors and main goals:

  1. Consumers: Will get to know new and probably more convenient tools that will help them do their tasks
  2. SaaS companies who already own a customer base and are open to increase their revenues, but probably can't improve their product fast enough
  3. New SaaS companies that are looking to spread the word and acquire their first customers

Limits and boundaries between 2 and 3 will be blurry, as both could benefit from this.

There are some companies trying to solve this

There are some affiliate tracking platforms built on top of Stripe, mainly, that offer SaaS companies a simplified way of running their affiliate programs.

That's a really good technical solution, but they still miss the biggest need for a technical founder: How to generate sales. How to get customers in front of their service, or their affiliate program.

So, what is LEV3R?

What if, I just finished creating the best tool to improve my ecommerce products photography. Wouldn't be great to close a deal so all the ecommerce platforms offered my solution to their clients for a commission enabling this triple win?

I, as a creator, win accessing a new cluster of clients. Clients win since they now have access to something that will improve their sells. The large ecommerce wins as they now have a new revenue stream with minimal effort.

Huge companies kind of do this, they call it marketplace. But they do it within their walled garden.

LEV3R will be a distribution channel that will generate sales for SaaS companies, by offering their services to other non-competitors SaaS' customers base. The referral SaaS company will earn a commission for the referred customer when they purchase the new service.

Having a clear alignment of the actors is step 0 for any bootstraped company, but no shortage of challenges will be ahead, anyway.
