Mission accomplished

December 29, 2024

Well, during today's afternoon I deployed the launch version for LEV3R, so I can say this was a great success.

Some insights and learnings during this process I can share:

I already used Claude with Sonet 3.5 for previous projects and it's really an awesome helper. You just need to be careful on the effort you ask, and to keep it focused. Actually, the previous posts in this blog were used as part of the initial prompt.

The first website was based on the ideas I had (Increase your SaaS MRR), but after seeing it live and playing with it, it seems more logical to have a wider statement in the home and target any website.

Actually, one phrase that came to mind is "Carbon ads for the rest of us", given the ad format similarity and the products currently promoted.

I also used Cursor. First time switching from VS Code. Had a bit of a learning curve, but it was useful for small adjustments in the codebase.

For the infrastructure I went with my usual combo: Cloudflare for DNS, DigitalOcean for servers, databases and trying their spaces now. ServerPilot helps me maintaining the servers secure and updated.

Having the product launched is necessary, but not enough. Now the commercial tasks start. We currently have 10 campaigns loaded, and that needs to go 10x to have some serious demand running.

Good news is campaigns exist in abundance, since they are commission based, but requesting each on of them is a manual process - hey, that's what we are trying to solve for others here.

So, goal for this week: Get as close as possible to 100 campaigns running on the demand, and also wet the toes trying to get a few publishers running the ads.

First publisher is, of course, myself in dfgonzalez.com and the LEV3R website and dashboard.
